Happy Freelancers Co. is ALL about making space for freelancers to find play, rest and community. With fabulous co-working days and community socials across the UK, freelancers are welcome to connect and be themselves with other like-minded freelancers. Plus, with work and play vacays from Cornwall to Ibiza, there are plenty of chances to really let go and enjoy the freedom of freelancer life while hustling!
Before
Vicky, the founder of Happy Freelancers, already had an existing website that her VA created, but there were many issues with the UX and mobile optimisation. As an event and experience-based business, Vicky also needed a website that could act as a community hub, so that she no longer had to rely on websites like Eventbrite and Baluu for ticket sales and data capture.
Some key goals for the day:
Set up an automated mechanism for ticket sales (inc. data capture)
Create a calendar for events (with filters for type and location)
Bring in brand elements and colours
Clean up the UX and mobile optimisation
The client wanted
a vibey, playful and effective Website
Vicky’s dream was to have a website that strongly embodied the joy and playfulness of the Happy Freelancers Co. brand, and made ticket sales simple and intuitive for her customers.
After
During our Happify day, I had loads of fun matching Happy Freelancer Co.’s website to their very recognisable social posts, making use of their brand colours, fonts and graphics. I improved the UX, simplifying and improving the navigation in the header and created products for all of the events (filtered by location/date/type), so that tickets can be bought with immediate data capture. I improved the structure of information on the website, bringing in clear CTAs to highlight the different aspects of the business and created a template for retreats that made all of the information easier to digest to improve conversions.
