Hi, I’m Hannah 🙋🏽♀️ I help creative entrepreneurs with warm hearts and contagious laughs, extend their larger-than-life personalities onto websites that are as unique as they are.
My Experience
In 2011, I completed a BA Hons in Graphic Communication at Loughborough University and went on to win the renowned D&AD Best New Blood award - so I can proudly say I am an award-winning designer since the beginning of my career!
Through 4 years working in a London publishing agency, I was lucky to work with leading Arts & Cultural brands such as the V&A Museum, Tate Gallery, White Cube, Sotheby’s and Kew Royal Botanical Gardens. I worked my way up to Senior Designer, refining my skills all the while.
My "aha!" moment
After working with a variety of clients and industries over the last few years, simply designing digital wasn’t enough.
I hated working with clients who were constantly pushing the hard sell - they were always so SERIOUS.
Yes, it’s important to make money for a business to be successful but these clients didn’t appreciate the importance of good design and nurturing your customers. It felt so ‘ick’!
I realised joy and play are a big part of my everyday life and it started creeping into my work…
That’s when my soul set on fire - when I was able to incorporate play, joy, and fun into my designs, putting myself in the customer’s shoes to understand what it is THEY want.

That’s why I started Shiny Happy, to only work with creative small businesses whose brand values are focused on the positive things that make life worth living - having fun, not being scared to be you, and letting go!
I love creating sites that really sing to my clients’ amazing unique talents, and fix lots of little annoying problems at the same time! And because I work by myself, I have the ultimate satisfaction of knowing that every element has been done. just. so.
