How to Prepare for a Happify Day: Do's and Don'ts
Have you heard of my Happify My Website service? It's a full 8-hour day of my undivided attention for your business website, updating, tweaking and redesigning in line with your needs.
It's so much fun! I love being able to focus all of my efforts on your business for the day, digging into the details, and my clients love knowing that they are my sole priority.
As this service is so unique and customisable, I understand it can be tough to know what to expect, when to book a Happify Day or how it should fit into your business plans. Here are some do's and don'ts I've gathered from the past 9 months of running this service to give you some guidance:
DO
Have an idea of what kind of improvement your website needs, as your insight is valuable and SO needed to make your Happify Day a great experience! If you're not sure on the how, that's fine, as that's exactly what I'm there for!
Fill in the pre-Happify day questionnaire with as much detail as you can, so I know exactly what you need. It's easy to make assumptions when you're in the day-to-day of your business, so make sure you communicate everything thoroughly for me.
Pay your deposit invoice by the time your Happify day comes around, or we won't be able to go ahead with the service. Simple as that!
Be available for calls and messages throughout your Happify day. You don't need to be available every minute of the day but don't go booking a spa afternoon for the same date! I'll need your input and feedback throughout the day.
Think about the 3 how-to-guides you'd like included at the end of your service. These are video guides on how to create/update elements of your site you're not 100% confident with (e.g. setting up a new blog post with the correct SEO settings).
DON'T:
Book your Happify day just before a new product launch - give yourself some breathing space to decide if you need my input on a new web feature for your product that needs set-up or tweaking.
Expect me to complete every single thing on your list - I will do as much as I possibly can but ultimately this is a time-based service and some things will take longer than expected. This is why I ask you to list things in order or priority!
Get worried when I don't reply to your messages on the day. I may be deep in editing mode or have popped to the loo. Give me some time to respond!
On that note, don't send me messages on different programs throughout the day. Decide on one platform (email, text) and stick with it! I'll then keep that platform open for our on-the-day comms (I like to use Instagram for this).
